I don't plan on "borrowing" ETO hours from next year, which a colleague is suggesting. Apparently he's done that before. Whatever. I want to keep the hours where they belong to make it easier to track. That's one benefit of hours not wrapping over in December now. Guess what? I got the desktop this week instead of next week! So I spent Wednesday backing up files to the Seagate, music to my Firelight and got ready for the transfer. The wee one had spiked a temp yesterday, so he's home sick today. Kids have to be fever free for 24h off of Tylenol or Motrin, so I'm home this morning while Jason's at work and I get to go in for the afternoon. So I tried reinstalling Windows 7, and it actually put all prior data in a separate folder, and apparently had no drivers for the Ethernet card or video card. So now I'm trying again, this time with the reformat option. Hopefully that will fix it.

Considering the fact that Tosh has been getting the blue screen of death on a daily basis, I am currently backing up the music, video and picture downloads to my Firelite and Seagate drives. The plan is to reinstall the OS tomorrow, in case that went hinky, since the crashes were intermittent before. I know I'm hella hard on laptops (I regularly ( Read more... )

Tosh has been blue screening like crazy lately. Last night I didn't even get a chance to load anything, this morning she failed as I was finishing up pumping.
